Public Hearing Notice

Notice is hereby given that the municipalities of South Franklin Township and Green Hills Borough in Washington County will hold two separate public hearings to receive comment on the proposed South Franklin Township and Green Hills Borough Joint Comprehensive Plan.  The public hearings will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 6:30 PM.  The South Franklin Township public hearing will be held at the Township municipal building at 100 Municipal Road.  The Green Hills Borough public hearing will take place at the Lone Pine Country Club at 2755 Park Avenue.  Notice is also hereby given that the South Franklin Township Board of Supervisors and Green Hills Borough Council intends to adopt the Comprehensive Plan at their regularly scheduled meeting immediately following the aforementioned public hearing.  The South Franklin Township Planning Commission will also hold a meeting to review the comprehensive plan before the public hearing on September 30, 2009 at 6:30 PM at the municipal building.
Interested persons or their agents may appear at the aforementioned public hearing to provide comment on the proposed Joint Comprehensive Plan.  Pertinent records may be inspected prior to the hearing at the South Franklin Township office between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or at Lone Pine Country Club by appointment, (724) 222-4844.
