of Supervisors The Board of Supervisors consists of three (3) members elected at large for six-year terms. The Board sets policies, adopts all township ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations and is responsible for the financial condition of the Township. Tom Hart ............... 724-225-4851 Term - 2006-2012 Mr. Hart is Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and is semi-retired. He and his wife, Myrna reside at 340 Jolly School Rd. Tommy F. Miller.......... 724-228-3031 Term - 2004-2010 Mr. Miller is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Supervisorsis and is semi-retired. He and his wife, Jane reside at 965 Deerfield Road. Mark Knestrick .......... Term - 2008-2014 Public Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 100 Municipal Road, Washington, PA 15301. Township Secretary / Treasurer Christine Cuppett The Secretary / Treasurer is appointed annually by the Board of Supervisors to carry out the policies of the Board. The various duties of this position, including but not limited to, are preparing the budget which is adopted by resolution by the Board annually, responsibility of all accounting and reporting of all financial activities of the Township, providing information to the Board for making office policy and administrative decisions, keeping minutes, preparing all official records of the Township according to the township codes and acting as liaison with all entities and managing daily functions of the office. Wage Tax Collections / Office Assistant Kellie A. Orlosky The Township Clerk is appointed annually by the Board of Supervisors to collect earned income taxes1 and fill in for the Secretary / Treasurer. day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day) Board of Auditors Carol Young, Laura Victorick, Janie Sprowls This elected Board of Auditors is a three member board. They are elected by qualified voters of the Township and serve for a six year term. They have the responsibility for auditing the township's financial records, setting wages and benefits for the Township supervisors that are employed by the township. Voting All residents living on the Route 18 and west vote in the Township Community Building, Precinct #1. All reidents, not on Route 18, living east of Route 18 vote in the South Franklin Volunteer Fire Dept. Building, Precinct #2. |
