The Washington County Board of Commissioners have established the Washington Cares Small Business and Nonprofit Support Grant Program. Funding will be made available to small businesses and nonprofits in the County that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis.

Eligibility requirements
- Small businesses and Section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) non-profit entity under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
- Applicant was and/or is negatively impacted by COVID-19, including loss of revenue and other eligible business interruption losses
- Applicants must have less than 100 employees to be considered, unless organized as not-for-profit entities under Section 501(c)3 or 501(c)19 of the Internal Revenue Code or engaged in the tourism industry, in which case they must have 500 or fewer employees.
- Applicants that received funds from any other source under the CARES Act including but not limited to funds received under the Paycheck Protection Program, or the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program are eligible to receive funds under this program, however, priority will be given to applicants that did not receive such funds.
